Trincomalee
Today we proceed to Trincomalee. Our first stop en route is at the Munneswaram Temple, in Munneswaram village. It is the center of the spiritual and religious life of the people dwelling in the medieval administrative division called Munneswaram Pattuva. We next stop to visit the Manavari Temple. In the Hindu epic Ramayan, this is the first place at which Lord Rama installed and prayed to the Siva lingam, after ending the war with King Ravana. Kandy
After breakfast, we visit the Sankari Devi Shakthi Peedam Temple, a place of worship consecrated to the goddess Shakti or Sati. Thereafter we proceed to Kandy stopping en route to visit the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. In Kandy, we drive around Kandy Lake, which was built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Today’s first stop is at the Sita Amman temple, believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by King Ravana and where she prayed for Rama to come and rescue her. The temple is a modern building with paintings, statues, and sculptures depicting the tale of Rama and Sita. We also visit Asoka Vatika, one of the pleasure gardens of King Ravana. We then proceed to Welimada to visit the Divurumpola Temple. Today we drive to Colombo, stopping along the way at the Anjaneyer Temple and at the Kelaniya Temple. The Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka is the only Panchamuga (five faced) Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka, as well as the only temple in the world to have a chariot for Anjaneyar. The Kelaniya Temple, built during the 3rd century B.C., is one of the most sacred Buddhist temples in Sri Lanka, drawing thousands of pilgrims from all corners of the world. Arrive in Colombo.

- Adult – A valid Indian passport or an election Id is the only valid document for adults (18 yrs & above) for travel.
- Child – For children below the age of 18 years the school or college id suffices. The id should clearly reflect the traveler’s picture, school or college name, date of birth as well as the class in which the student is studying.
- For Children below 12 years, please carry birth certificate and School id. Request that this be checked with the Indian Immigration authorities at your end too.
